Turchi is a member and former president of the California Dental Association and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society and a member of the American Dental Association. He has also served as an expert witness and examiner for the California Dental Board of California. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Turchi is a Republican.
